Welcome to Texans For Immigration Reform!

TFIR's purpose as a Non-Profit organization is to call for strict control of the borders of the United States.

We favor the rigorous enforcement of existing laws against persons who illegally enter or reside in the United States.

We work to oppose or repeal laws and programs that encourage illegal immigration and residence.

Finally, we work to educate the public and work with our elected representatives to achieve these objectives.

Texans for Immigration Reform has joined with two other groups to form the Immigration Reform Coalition of Texas (IRCOT).  The two other groups are Citizens for Immigration Reform (Dallas) and the Austin Townhall Conservatives - Immigration Reform Committee (Austin).

By joining forces, we will have a greater impact to provide a contact place for Texans who have no immigration reform group in their area.

Please visit the brand new IRCOT web site: https://www.ircot.com/

We invite you to attend one of our meetings.

Summary of November 12 TFIR meeting- Speaker Tom Tancredo

As usual, former United States Representative from Colorado Tom Tancredo gave one of his low key humorous talks to make his serious points on the problems of unfettered illegal, massive legal immigration and the porous border.  The members and guests would have liked to keep him all night. Stressing the issues and also the problem of radical Muslims in our country showed he does not pander to anyone.  He quoted the late Harvard Professor Samuel Huntington’s fine research on assimilation and the changing cultural realm.

He is considering running for governor of Colorado if he cannot get assurances that the present candidate will serve this state as Congressman Tancredo hopes he will.

One of Tancredo’s very humorous anecdotes was about the two taxi cab drivers relating to him the “borders, language and culture” mantra he espouses. We cannot remain a cohesive country without these three essential factors.  If you didn’t attend the meeting you will be able to purchase a CD of this talk for $5 plus handling and mailing cost of $2. . A good way to get our message across is to gift the CD or loan it to a friend. It may be purchased from the website, www.tfir.org, or call the TFIR telephone number.

Lisa Drout honored us by singing, God Bless America. Her voice inspires all and it was so appropriate to the occasion. Rebecca Forest, President of IRCOT, the Immigration Reform Coalition of Texas, informed us of the plans for IRCOT to incorporate and be eligible to solicit tax free contributions for furthering our cause. There are other exciting plans for IRCOT to be more and more proactive in fighting this battle to protect our rights under the Constitution.
